With this we have developed a personal coaching suite that caters to your personal needs. You will be allocated your own personal coach that will develop your personal program around your strengths and weaknesses to aim towards your goals!

You will use our Evolution of Fitness app to assist with accountability, metrics and instant access to your coach, programs, schedules, progress charts, assessments, forms and files.

At our Coventry gym we have one of the only indoor Bar Park in the UK. This is for our specialist coaching that primarily consists of Calisthenics (advanced body weight training) and functional adaptability.

We are the only practitioners and qualified coaches of Calisthenics in Coventry and we ensure the best way to get fit and have fun while doing it during these coaching sessions!

Our Training Academy and Coventry gym has been created to promote functional strength and fitness for all abilities.

STREET WORKOUT

Street Workout and Calisthenics is a massive up and coming sport which will soon take over the nation. At Evolution of Fitness we pride ourselves in our specialist area of Street Workout Calisthenics as it allows us to open people up to the many benefits of this discipline.

Street Workout is a physical activity performed mostly in outdoor parks or public facilities. It is a combination of athletics, calisthenics, and sports.

A typical street workout routine often consists of exercises such as pull-ups, chin-ups, push-ups, dips, muscle-ups, sit-ups, crunches and squats. Street workout also involves some statics (isometric) holds such as the human flag, front lever, back lever and planche.

Street workout has been widely popularized through YouTube and is popular among younger generations but not limited to them as this type of training is still used by people as old as 80 years old.

CALISTHENICS

Calisthenics is a form of exercise consisting of a variety of exercises, often rhythmical movements, generally without using equipment or apparatus. They are intended to increase body strength and flexibility with movements such as bending, jumping, swinging, twisting or kicking, using only one’s body weight for resistance. They are usually conducted in concert with stretches. When performed vigorously and with variety, Calisthenics can benefit both muscular and cardiovascular fitness, in addition to improving psychomotor skills such as balance, agility and coordination.

The word calisthenics comes from the ancient Greek words kállos, which means “beauty”, and sthénos, meaning “strength”. It is the art of using one’s body weight and qualities of inertia as a means to develop one’s physique. A longstanding urban legend has claimed that the exercise was named after one of its earliest promotors, the Greek historian Callisthenes.
